Warm, wet and windy

Another weathersome day.

It has been "unseasonably" (whatever that means, these days) warm, and on and off drizzly-rainy.  All the latest snow has melted.  Tonight the wind is starting to get up.  And an hour ago, when the Girl suddenly remembered her English assignment and announced, panic-style, that she had-to-get-a-novel-in-verse-from-the-library-TONIGHT!! we discovered that it's also pretty foggy out.  Well, there's always something going on with the weather.  We're expecting snow again tomorrow.

It has been a satisfying day.  A visit to my refugee friends in the morning, then tea-and-talk consecutively with two other good friends.  Also, a moment of pride in my daughter who has instigated a school supplies drive at her school to collect pencils and paper etc for the school we're involved with in the Dominican Republic.  It starts tomorrow. Yay, that's my Girl!
