We've been at school for another graduation night, and once again the leaving 8th Graders did themselves proud with their speeches. Traditionally they dress for the occasion, too - the boys in suits and the girls in party dresses. I note that ra-ra skirts and puffballs are back with a vengeance - who knew? Truly, in fashion everything comes round again, even things that really shouldn't.
And with the speeches and presentations and songs all over (with not so many tears this year, it seemed to me), it was time for the kids - from toddlers to teenagers - to dance the night away. Or chase madly around. Or stuff their faces with cake. Or any combination of the three.
Home and late to bed, then - but at least there's no bus to be up early for in the morning.
