Fruitful visit

I can't seem to get enough of Indian Ladder Farms at the moment. We thought we might not make it today as it seemed set to rain all afternoon, but around four o'clock the sky cleared so I packed the kids in the car and off we went.

We had the pick of the strawberry crop as no-one much else had been out in the field today. We filled our punnets to the brim (and a bit beyond).

Back at the buildings, we ran into the woman who runs the "barn school" summer camp that the Girl attended last year. She told us they'd had baby chicks hatch just that afternoon, and invited us to come and have a look - what a bonus! The kids got to pet them. And then the Girl had to get reacquainted with all her goat and pig and chicken friends, and meet more new arrivals...

Both children are now insisting that I sign them up for farm camp this summer.
