Our top pick

The Girl took part in her second skating competition this morning, the Collar City Open at the Knickerbacker Stadium in Troy.  She performed well - a one minute routine to theme tune from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (geek on ice!) - and her coach was pleased with her performance...but she came in third out of three.  Ah well.  She took it on the chin and accepted her bronze medal with grace.  So we were proud of her all round.

She helped us pick strawberries at Indian Ladder Farms in the afternoon.  Pickings were thin, but we managed to fill a punnet, and oo, the berries were yummy.  We were reminded of our very first visit to the farm.
