I feel like I've been punched in the arm.
I went for my annual check-up and the doctor decided I should update my tetanus shot. When I warned the nurse that I'm squeamish and a bit of a fainter he reassured me that it was nothing to be embarassed about - when he worked in the military it was always the big tough guys that fell flat at the sight of a needle.
In the event I managed not to faint at all today (I had blood drawn, too, also without fainting). The innoculaion in particular really didn't hurt at the time. Ow, but it does now.
