Let's get quizzical

The Amnesiacs were back in action again this evening at the local quiz night.  It started with a "Classic Rock" round that was somewhat challenging.  Next, "Sports", which always counts out three members of our team (two of us not being remotely interested in sports, and one having an encyclopedic knowledge of cricket and soccer matches from the early '70s to the present but no clue about NFL and baseball).  At least we salvaged some points on the table round, matching slogans to products (not that the Man and I contributed anything useful there, either).

At half time we were slightly behind the leaders.  Astonishingly, my friend J and I earned bonus points on the "Physical Challenge", which this week involved performing a short dance routine(!) to the theme music from hit comedy The Big Bang Theory.  Then "Movies" - shocking awful, only one correct answer out of ten - and finally a random general knowledge round, in which we didn't completely disgrace ourselves.

Final placement?  Hm, well, we came second again.  By one point. We're thinking of changing our name - to "Always the bridesmaids", perhaps, or just simply "The Runners-up".
