Moving on

So, farewell again Linton. Thank you to all the friends who in one way or another welcomed us back for our all-too-short (from our point of view!) visit. Special mention to Insanely Livid and family for putting us up, also for putting up with us as we endlessly faffed about their house looking for 'missing' items that were actually already in our car. We finally left early this afternoon.

Having accomplished a last few visits around the village we moved on to Saffron Walden - where we happened to run into a couple more friends who passed by the cafe we were sitting in. Bonus! We spent a moment in mourning for Harts, a lovely bookshop which has been taken over and criminally blandified by WHSmith. Then back to my parents in Watford for the next phase of our UK stay.
