A ridge too far?
It has been a beautiful day - perfect for a trip to Breakneck Ridge, which we first visited about eighteen months ago.
The journey took longer than I remembered. It was also much busier there than the time before (though still hardly Piccadilly Circus). We only climbed about halfway up, to the flagpole, but that was pretty tiring, and the trail down was challenging with the ground covered in slippery fallen leaves.
It's a great shame that many of the rockfaces have been spoiled by grafitti. I just can't get into the mind of someone who thinks it's a cool idea to climb to a place of stunning natural beauty and deface it with spraypaint. But the views were as wonderful as before - it really is a special trail.
