Virtually on vacation

It has been another rather grey, unsummery day here - but no complaints from me, I like it cool.

Though the kids have been out seeing friends, the Man and I have stayed close to home.  We've been working on various tasks, a major one being cleaning the filter before the guy comes to open the pool for us later in the week.  It took us a while to get rid of a whole lot of last season's gunk - which alas will be quickly replaced once the pool is up and running, because the water will be starting out pretty green (actually, not a particularly pretty green, though not quite as bad as the first time).

The children are about to embark on their last full week of school - just seven school days left altogether, in fact.  Then, like every other kid, they'll spend the lo-o-o-ng summer vacation out in the fields, harvesting the crops on the family farmstead...  Oh, no, we don't all do that anymore, do we?  But the Girl has a computer game that involves running a virtual ranch - d'you think that counts?
