All the kids from her grade were there, dressed up for the occasion. There were songs, there were speeches. Diplomas were awarded. There were some very tall girls, and some very short boys. We were shown a homemade video of the school trip to Nature's Classroom, which was fun but left some of us feeling slightly seasick.
Then it was time for cake and fizzy punch...and goodbyes. Our Girl has only had one year at this school, but it has been an exciting year, full of new experiences. And now she's officially a 6th Grader, a Middle Schooler, with whole new set of challenges ahead of her. Moving up, and growing up.
But first, vacation...ahhh!
