It was perfect weather at yesterday's carnival. This morning: torrential rain. Too bad for the organisers and exhibitors of the sheep and wool festival we'd planned to visit at Thacher Park - that event ended up being cancelled.
But by late morning things were clearing a little. We made it out to the library and the Farmers' Market. In the afternoon, a couple of us got up to Indian Ladder Farms to pick our first strawberries of the season - lots of lovely ripe berries practically falling off their stalks into our hands as we picked them.
Tonight, take-out Thai food (the Girl tried, and even liked, something new) and a family movie (Nim's Island) and...more rain.
