The weather continues fine, and I'm enjoying some flowers in the front yard that my parents helped me choose and plant last time they were here. Good choices, they are flourishing.

Police state
This evening we all went up to school to watch the Girl and her friends doing a presentation on recycling for the Board of Governors. The Girl had been involved in creating a video puppet show - only she wasn't actually in the video, not having been available on the day of filming (yesterday). It was entertaining, in a slightly mystifying way. It featured a couple of characters called the Eco Police who kept turning up and arresting other characters for failures to recycle - not an unbelievable vision of the future, to be honest.
