Art and Sole

The kids' whole school has been preparing to put on an art exhibition, which families went to view this evening.  Inspired by a recent show at the Albany Institute of History and Art, each child had decorated a shoe in whatever way he or she fancied.

Some real imagination and loads of effort had gone into the work - not to mention a whole lot of glitter glue in many cases.  Shoes were adorned with flowers, feathers, pieces of Lego, plastic dinosaurs, turbo rocket boosters...you name it really.

Our kids each took inspiration from their current passions:  for the Girl, an ice-skating theme...

and for the Boy, a homage to the puffles of Club Penguin.

  1. Fellow Lintonians, how can we take inspiration from this for the up and coming parent projects?

  2. Oh give me a golden plimsoll over an information poster on the postal system any day. Our looming Spring Project fills me with dread, whereas pom poms on a pump - bring it on, as they say.
