There are lots of other kinds of shops too - some very classy craft galleries, an interesting toyshop, various fairly conventional clothes and shoe stores, and plenty of great places to eat. I had a tasty burrito in one of the cafes, and the Man and I shared something cakey from the excellent Bread Alone Bakery.
The whole town was buzzing with visitors, and clearly thriving. Good for Woodstock. Some of the small towns we've passed through in this region look like they might be struggling a bit these days, but tuning in and dropping out has clearly turned out to be an astute commercial move in this corner of the Catskills.
