The Man writes...the Young Man spent the day with friends while I visited some old haunts including Five Rivers. The new Visitor Center seems to have progressed significantly since Albaniana's visit a few weeks ago. It has a budget of seven million dollars. I remember the hours that Albaniana used to devote to raising a few hundred dollars for the Friends of Five Rivers.
The old Center has seen better days, but has a rustic charm, and part of me will be sorry to see it go.
Our host has just returned from Iceland, and we both enjoyed her tales of trolls and geysers and tectonic plates.
