The day in brief

Highlights of the day:

• morning coffee and catch-up with Exile #2;
• getting all my crafty activities in order for tomorrow's big event at Five Rivers;
• an after-school there-and-back hike to our local diner, including (but of course) ice-cream;
• watching the Girl working hard on the ice during her skating lesson, ending with a rather impressive burst of speed-skating.

Tomorrow will be full and busy - I'm aiming for an early night tonight.
