Tonight the Man and I have been meeting the teachers at the Girl's school. As last year, the evening was formatted as a compressed school day, and we shuttled from classroom to classroom, ten minutes with each teacher, and just time to exchange brief smiles and hellos to the other parents we recognised in the hallways.
And as last year, we were generally impressed by what we saw and heard from the teachers - they all seem enthusiastic and positive. Most of them genuinely seem to like 7th graders, which has to be a plus. The Boy's new teachers at his schools' open house event last week seemed similarly full of bounce and enthusiasm. There'll no doubt be highs and lows along the way, but I think both our kids should have a pretty good year.
