Hip-Hoppy New Year

Some guests at the Thanksgiving party we attended in November invited us to join them and their friends to see in the New Year, so that's where we've been tonight and we had a fine time.  There was food and drink, a bonfire in the snow, breakdancing in the basement (for some of us), a flaming homemade figgy pudding (one of our hosts was British) and the strange custom of this land of gathering round the TV at midnight to watch a ball slowly drop in Times Square.  We all had fun, and now embark bleary-eyed into 2011.

May this be a good year for you.
