The lessons all went well. The Boy still takes a few tumbles, but gamely bounces up and carries on. The Girl seems very at home on skis - the skating and last year's cross-country skiing must help, but I think there's a touch of natural flair there, too. After the classes we all tried out (the lower slopes of) the mountain and she went whizzing down several times, fearless and joyful.
I don't approach rapid descent as boldly as my daughter does, but I did manage to get down more than once without dawdling or falling over, so I think I'm doing ok too.
Maybe next week I'll see the views from the top of the mountain, but first I'll have to learn to ride one of these.
