It was the Man's turn to get up early this morning. Not to catch worms, though - he had to make a work trip.
I took the children to the doctor's in the afternoon for the first of three Hepatitis B shots. This is a standard immunisation in the US (unlike in the UK) and required by school.
The Girl was typically stoical - she didn't so much as flinch. The Boy did flinch, and bled a bit, but mainly seemed distressed about having to wear a plaster (band aid) on his arm. Can't think why he's such a woose. Meanwhile I had cleverly remembered to look the other way while the doctor stuck needles in my kids and therefore managed not to faint.
We all awarded ourselves bowls of ice-cream for bravery when we got home.
