Chipmunky business

Another winter storm has been by. All schools were closed for the day, though it seemed to me that, round us at least, conditions weren't so bad. Whatever, the kids had yet another day off.

Among other things they watched Alvin and the Chipmunks again. This resulted in them spending the rest of the day pretending to be Alvin and the chipmunks - ie talking in annoying squeaky voices and calling me Dave (the lead human in the movie).

Now, I vowed this would never happen again, but somehow I got suckered into buying another kit (they were on half-price sale in Jo-Ann's). Actually it was a less emotional building process than last time, mainly because the children let me get on and construct the thing, then were pretty cooperative with each other when it came to the decorating. Et voila, another little architectural wonder to sit around for a year and (rather disturbingly) show no signs at all of decay.
