The other day on our way up to Lake Placid we stopped briefly at the High Peaks Welcome Center. While my family availed themselves of the snack dispensers (primarily sugar, salt and caffeine) and other facilities, I homed in on this poster:

I spot a moose! So I grab my nearest internet device and breathlessly...
- try to recall which New York State department acronym I'm meant to be reporting to.
- Ooh, lucky! Got the right one! Er, what do I do next?
- Sorry, Office of the what-was-that?
- Now I have to start following instructions?
Was it really beyond the wit of
anyone in the Department of Transport to come up with www.seenamoose.gov?
