I don't know exactly how hot it got today, but it was certainly high 90sF, and it felt like over 100... The pool has been very much the most comfortable place to be, and though it still embarrasses me to have such a thing in the backyard, we've all been glad of it today.
I had lunch out with a friend who has just got back from Kenya. The Boy had a friend over, and has since gone out for a sleepover at another friend's house. The Girl has mostly been lying on the couch - all her friends seem to be away or at camp.
Kudos to our friend the Exile, who was out and about running in all this heat.
