We're beating the heat with a little trip to Lake Placid. So far we've had fun on/in Mirror Lake, and been out for dinner at an Italian restaurant recommended by the Boy (he'd been there before with his buddy's family) where miraculously (given our family's challenging combination of vegetarians and fussy eaters) we each found something we were very happy to eat. Yay! And we've spent some time in the very lovely independent bookstore which we always like to visit when we're here.
Now, time to enjoy the hotel pool...
