Beyond the basics

The Girl took part in her third skating competition today, at Clifton Park Ice Arena.  She has moved on from the Basic level and today skated as a "Limited Beginner" (not the most esteem-boosting demarcation, but there you go). 

Out of her group of four she took the bronze medal (though one of the three judges placed her second).  As far as her - totally unbiased - family members are concerned she was the tops and gave a performance to be proud of.

That took care of the morning.  For the rest of the day we've odded about, including doing the first major rake-up in the backyard.  The leaves continue to fall apace so there'll be plenty more raking to come, I'm sure.
