Plenty of gourds and the like this time of year. We saw this lovely display at Indian Ladder Farms on Sunday. 
There was a waggon-load of mums, too, of course.And there were also, to our surprise, crowds and crowds of people, mainly queueing up for apple donuts and cider. They do appreciate their apples and apple-products in this part of the world. I learnt today that the official State muffin for New York is the apple muffin.
