Keep calm and party on

We're just home from a party next door, a happy gathering of neighbours.  There was a bit of a British theme going on, with homemade "Keep Calm and..." signs up on the walls, and Union Jack-style flags stuck in the cupcakes.  Almost like the party was for us. Which in fact it was.  But as to why...

...I'm still too much in denial to talk about that.
