Caves
We're mini-breaking again, looking for a change of scene. Today we have made it to New Hampshire, after a drive through Vermont (so pretty, Vermont), stopping briefly for refreshments at the Baba-a-Louis bakery and cafe in Chester - oh, yum.
Tonight we are staying at a motel in the White Mountains we discovered a couple of years ago, the one where we saw a bear. But before we got here we checked out the Polar Caves. This is a great example of some enterprising person exploiting an interesting natural site for profit - but they're doing it quite nicely, and we had fun squeezing through a series of granite caverns and rock formations. It was all very Famous Five - there was even an actual smugglers' cave.
