Jig gig

The Girl had a dancing gig this morning, at the farmers' market.  There's always music there of a Saturday, but Irish dancing was a bit of a novelty and seemed to go down well with the shoppers.  The group danced two short sets and won some applause.

Our own dancer gained herself a little fan club - a bevy of pre-school age girls sought her out in the interval and insisted that she played with them although they hadn't met her before.  When they first cornered her I heard one of them shouting gleefully "Mommy, we found one of the Irish dancers!"  They played hide and seek and had a lot of fun.

The afternoon has involved a few chores, but this evening there has been swimming and badminton in the back yard.
