Bear with him

The Man went for a run early this morning.  Along the way (just near the end of our road, in fact) he was rather surprised to encounter...

...a bear!  An actual bear!  In our neighbourhood!

It was quite a small Black Bear. He first spotted it as it meandered through someone's yard then disappeared into the woods.  Then all of a sudden it was running across the road right in front of him.

Well, it was a tale to tell at the breakfast table, that's for sure.

Bears have been in the news of late.  A bear wandered into Albany recently and came to a sad end.  The Man's little bear will be wise to keep a low profile.
