A couple of brief but wild bursts of storm swept through the region today. The first thundered over while I was at the ice rink in Troy with the Girl. It felt safe enough inside the rink, but when we came out we saw there were leaves and branches all over the roads.
The second storm hit once we'd all got home for the evening. The sky darkened, rain fell like waves and the trees whipped back and forth. A large branch fell into our yard from next door. Moments later, a larger branch fell off one of our trees into our other neighbours' yard, taking out a fence panel on the way. Oh boy.
So, we have damage to deal with and that's annoying. At least no one was hurt.
