Since 5th Graders were visiting the Middle School today to check out what they are in for, 6th Graders got to come home early - the Boy seemed to be home again almost as soon as he'd set off.
Since it has been a rainy day, on and off, and none of his friends were available, he hasn't done much with his extra free time, but he and I did go out for lunch together and that was very enjoyable (despite the restaurant's air-con being set to Arctic).
Warm weather coupled with sufficient rain this month mean that everywhere is looking very lush and green - such a contrast with even just a couple of weeks ago. And, sorry, I don't have a photo to prove it - maybe tomorrow, when it will be even lusher after even more rain tonight.
