That's the way I like it
After a day of total inactivity yesterday, the Girl has been on the go all day today. She was back at farm camp first thing for a morning bossing goats around. This afternoon, two hours at the library doing her desk job - signing other kids up for the summer reading programme. From there, a hop and skip up the road to Irish dance class. And to top it all off, she cooked soup for us for dinner (and very good it was, too).
As we'd hoped, it has been cooler and less humid today, and that gave the Boy and me a burst of energy as well. While the Girl was cleaning out goats, I helped the Boy tackle a much more daunting task: tidying his bedroom (we even managed to chuck some stuff out - hooray!).
At dinner the kids were teaching us how to, like, speak middle school American? At one point the Boy was laughing so much that he fell over and knocked a book off a chair. "Watch it," I said, "that's a library book."
Boy: "It's, like, a library book?"
Me: "No. It's not LIKE a library book. It IS a library book."
Boy falls over laughing again.
