All the trimmings

We're still waiting for the snow which seems to be blighting Britain this winter.  There's barely an inch of the stuff round us.  Still, we spent the day doing wintery things - skating, indoors and out, then going off and buying a Christmas tree.

As in previous years we bought as much tree as we could for the one-price-any-size.  This was probably the biggest yet.  The guy at the tree place tossed it onto the top of the car like it was nothing at all, but was more of struggle getting it off again at the other end...  Yet we managed it, and wrangled it indoors and into its stand, and then spend a happy afternoon trimming it.

A few new ornaments get added each year, and each has a name or a story or a memory attached.
Helping the kids decorate the tree is probably my favourite thing about Christmas.
