Party at your own risk

Today I walked to the Y, skated hard for an hour, set off for home and came across a nature trail I must have passed a thousand times but had never noticed before. So I explored that half mile forest detour (it'll be worth revisiting when the trees have leaves again) before continuing back to the house. No wonder I fell asleep in a chair before tea.

The Boy received a birthday invitation recently from a classmate. Attached to the invitation is a liability waiver form issued by the gym where the party is being held, which I am required to sign:

I am fully aware of and appreciate the risks, including the risk of injury, paralysis and even death, as well as other damages and losses associated with participation in this gymnastics-inflatable birthday party...

Wow - how could anyone not be in a party mood after reading that?
