Home suite home

We are in Boston for the weekend, staying in a hotel 'suite', which is a sort of tiny apartment filled with TVs. Well, two TVs, which is two more than we have at home. So the children are very happy, in addition because there is a microwave oven (which also looks like a telly) and we have made popcorn in it.

We arrived early this afternoon and took ourselves to the Boston Children's Museum. It's a huge place filled with hands-on exhibits featuring pretty much everything a kid might want to have a go at, from making tin foil boats to testing out an electronic dance mat. Science, health, multi-cultural experience, construction work, disability aids, art, recycling, invention - these were just a few of the themes covered. We really only managed to skim the surface of it in the two and half hours we spent there.

A couple of highlights:

The children reached the top of this incredible vertical maze and started heading down again - only to find themselves, Escher-like, back at the top...
