Although most of us in our family are vegetarians, the Girl is a confirmed carnivore and I sometimes cook chicken for her. I'm always perturbed when I go to buy it at Price Chopper because there are two sections next to each other and from one you are invited to buy "NATURAL CHICKEN" and in the other just "CHICKEN".
This choice begs so many questions, I don't know where to start.
Watch out for "chicken type" meat. "natural" might conceivably be "organic" or" bird has been outside at some point" whereas " chicken" has never been outside or stood unaided and may well come from overseas. That's off my chest!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy sad suspicion is that "Natural" (plus picture of a rustic barn) is just a meaningless word to persuade me to spend more.
