Doggone freezin'

The Man writes...during our visit to Lake Placid for the Empire Games we had a short time to enjoy the winter version of the village.  Despite the bitterly cold wind people were standing in line waiting patiently for their turn to be pulled across Mirror Lake by a team of huskies.

Other parts of lake were cleared for ice hockey or for an enormous skating oval. It was certainly looking very different from our previous visit last July.
