For the kids, it has been a real vacation day. The Boy was out at a pool party all afternoon. The Girl had a friend over and they took themselves out for ice-cream. Tonight as darkness fell they busied themselves in the backyard catching fireflies. Summer has begun.
But sadly we've had some bad news from home. Times like this make us most aware of how far away we are from family. For now we can only send all our love across an ocean to everyone concerned.
