One mum went to mow

I mowed a dandelion meadow today - otherwise known as our back lawn.  I did a pretty good job, too, though I'm always impressed by the way dandelions have evolved to survive mowers - that knack they have for just lying down until the danger has passed, then springing right back up again.

I also weeded the front flowerbeds (more dandelions).  Meanwhile the kids, plus a buddy, set off on a variety of wheels (bike, scooter, roller-blades) and indulged themselves at the local ice-cream parlour -
the activity of choice these days when I direct them to "Go and spend some time outside."

In other news, the Girl has adopted a new anime-inspired hairstyle.  It would look even more authentic, I'm told, if dyed blue.
