Boy on wire

There were two celebrations after yesterday's b'nei mitzvah, but we opted only to attend the evening one.  The Boy, who had been elsewhere in the morning, joined us as we headed out to the party which was being held at Troy Arts Center.

Well, that was a treat in itself as we'd not been there before.  Food was being served in one of the galleries (where we came across a familiar face).

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Capital District circus supremo Sean Fagan ("Seano"), whom we know from Shakespeare events at the kids' old school.  Our b'nei mitzvah friends have studied circus skills from him for many years.

Rather than putting on a show, Seano and his colleague just provided lots of circus equipment for everyone to try, so kids had a great time walking a tightrope, juggling, balancing on a ball and stilt-walking.  Though the Girl was reluctant, the Boy threw himself into the activities with gusto:
