Remarkably, given the cavalier way that they neglect their teeth, neither of them have cavities. However the hygienist gave them a thorough going-over with the full compliment of sharp pointy things and it wasn't the best fun morning of their lives, I'm sure. But they survived the ordeal, and after that the first day of school should be a piece of cake.
The Girl celebrated the last day of vacation with a water-balloon fight in the backyard with a couple of friends, and the Boy hung out with his buddy. The weather may still be warm, but the endless summer is drawing to a close.
